Thank you for answering my “reworded” question. I once worked at a place where I had to use a radio for communication. Initially I had started in a lower position at this company but they moved me up to a position that required me to use a radio everyday, several times a day. Like you, I dreaded talking over the radio but I had to do it. Most of the time, if I needed to talk to someone I would talk to them in person because it is easier for me and if I needed to use the radio, I would ask for their location and walk over to them to talk to them. It was time consuming and tiring having to walk all over this huge company but it was better than having a conversation on the radio or having to repeat myself if they didn’t understand me. I stayed at that company for over year and I probably would have stayed there for the rest of my life but I took a family leave and got replaced. It wasn’t the best job ever but I guess I grew comfortable with the work and the people.
