If you hate long silence then you will try to think what to say in order to break the silence. That conscious effort will make you anxious and foster the chances of stuttering in future words. Also it will give you the opportunity to think: ¿What if whatever I say goes wrong and I make a fool of myself? Fluent people does not care to much of silence. They just accept the fact that they have nothing to say. If low communication is required, they can speak just with their body. So, when they do have something to say, they say it for **themself** and not for the aproval of a third person. It does not matter for them if it "goes wrong" because the only aproval they need is their own. Is not them that are speaking but the words that are speaking throughout them. The body is just a channel or conduct. We stutter´s tend to block the conduct by our mental resistance and compulsion of think speaking to existance.
