Most of the time, I feel like actors are faking it when they smoothly slip in and out of a stammer, and when every stammer is about the same length. A lot of people don’t know that a block often precedes a stammer, and stammer can take a wildly variable amount of time to work through, from virtually no time to a number of very long seconds.
