Do not feel bad about talking about other options with your teachers. I've stuttered my whole life, and accepted that it will not go away or get better. So, as with any disability, you adapt. When I started my college this year, I went and talked to my teachers straight away - not telling them I have trouble speaking, but that I /can't/ speak infront of a group. I will never be asked to verbally participate, and will do the presentations I need for my exams in private - one on one with the professors. I can finally, for the first time in my live, go to school stress-free.
