Stutter started in 3rd grade My family moved to a new city after 2nd grade. My stutter began then. My hardest block were sentences that started with "I". I am or I want or I will were impossible. My mouth would make the right shape for I but nothing would come out of my mouth. Other sounds were hard but I was crippling. I could read out loud with no problems Singing was easy. I went to speech therapy 2 times per week in 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grades. It helped. I had my stutter under control mostly when I went to high school and college. I am 65 and still say that I am a stutterer. If I get nervous or excited, it can show up. The things I learned in speech therapy worked for me. I have no clue if they would work for others.
