I stutter more in my second language, Spanish. I started learning it about 20 yrs ago and still struggle at times with vocabulary. I think that because, in Spanish, i have to think more about what I am saying and am more self-conscious about Spanish-speakers listening to my vocabulary and accent, I stutter about twice as much as I do in English.
