I'm currently in therapy with... it simply works. Speech had never been easy for me. With the therapy I got to speak easily 70% of the time, the next week 80%, then 95%, then I started cold calling and came back to 92% approx... and I'm in my 4th week. The therapy is easier than the book, but it helps a lot hearing the explanations from him I only do 30min in the morning If you can't afford or before you meet with him you can start mastering the PR breathing for 5 min, vowel phonation with the pitch variations from the book (10 min) And read the list of words in the appendixes with stress in the first, second and third or more vowel sounds (do the highest pitch in the key vowel sound) (focus on the key vowel sound, no focus at all the other vowels or consonants) If you're "stutter" is how it's described in the book, then you actually don't have a stutter... it's a voice problem... specifically "Selective Aphonia" So focus on producing voice when speaking (that alone will get rid of 98% of blocks (approx) The blocks that are hard and impossible to go through, are there because of your intention to be fluent Intention gets rid of the other blocks (focus on the main intent::: to just order a pizza and be served by the attendant, to show appreciation saying thank you, to get a simple coffee at the drive through) The 1% of blocks that won't go away will need two things: the right Intention and PR breathing (this discharges the tension in the muscles producing the blocks) Hope it help, I recommend him with all my heart I know I need to NOT focus on being fluent, but it actually is pretty cool haha
