Those experiences are the worst. I've had more than my fair share of days where I embarrassed the hell out of myself & felt like a piece of garbage. I only made it worse by obsessing about it & letting it haunt me for days or even weeks later. Don't fall into that trap of feeling bad for yourself though. Pitying yourself or seeking pity from others won't help you learn to manage it better. Your stutter's not going anywhere, so get up, dust yourself off, & don't look back. You're only going to drive yourself nuts.
