Man you can't think like that, although I'm not a fan of the vibe I get off the college kids where I work. I still go in every night. I have bad nights, but I also have good nights and great nights. I know this is said so much but that's because it's true but you miss 100% if the shots you don't take man. And while I wouldn't support anything more than a verbal confrontation but if u can identify if it's a particular person ... maybe just a simple, "look man, I have a speech thing, i don't talk the best (dumb it down for them . Every time i feel the need to do that they reply, "it's all good man" and if there's nothing else they have to say I just walk about to whatever I was doing. I work beside a good size college and on the weekends all of them are usually drunk anyhow. I spend the evening reminiscing on my first beer....lol
