I conquered my stutter when I was 36. I'm 38 now. I'm pursuing more of my dreams, but part of me still has the identity of stutterer. I'm more confident than the average person, but not as confident as I would be had I never stuttered. I feel like even though it took me 18 months to beat the physical part of stuttering, conquering the mental damage is going to take MUCH longer.
