Stuttering isn’t like using a wheelchair. When you see someone on the sidewalk who has a visible disability, it’s evident. You recognize that and then. Stuttering isn’t like that. Stutterers hide their stuttering by not speaking, switching words, slowing their rate, etc. stuttering also doesn’t happen ever time a person talks. These lead to your observation bias of “i see no stutterers”.
