My stutter emerged as a result from a traumatic dog attack at the age of 5. I couldn't speak for a year and then I was put in speech therapy (12 years) all through school and 8 more years out of high school. My suicide plan was thwarted by a homeless person who told me I was here for a purpose. I was set up on a blind date at the age of 25 (had no other dating experience). In February 2022, we celebrated 27 years together. The heart doesn't care if you stutter. Don't put so much pressure on yourself. I thought I was going to be alone for the rest of my life and then the universe throws you a curve ball. We have a son who just turned 19 and life is great. It will happen.
