My first job was being front of the restaurant to great guests at Red Lobster and I was also beyond nervous, especially to pick up calls. What really helped me was having a routine. I used to basically the same things over and over " Welcome you Red Lobster! How many people are in your party?". People always just asked the same questions everyday and I worked there for a year, so I had all my responses memorized and barely stuttered after that.
