I always let people know I have a stutter before I even start answering interview questions, but I've still ended up being ghosted by recruiters. It feels like some of them would rather just disappear than tell me they can't hire me because of it. This is especially tough in the hospitality and service industry where talking is super important. As a 26 year old working as a graphic designer, I know I need my voice to explain my ideas and designs to clients. I've found that sometimes it’s just better to move on and not think about it too much; stressing over it only makes things worse. Staying positive and focusing on what I do well really helps!
