I've had speech therapy over the last 4 months but we're just starting conversational skills (as opposed to reading out loud and monologuing). As for the time being, I just wait until the person introduces themselves first so they can prompt me by asking what my name is, so I don't have to say the word "I'm" in front of my name. I still stutter on my name, but the immediate panic is greatly reduced with this tactic. If they don't ask for my name, then it wasn't important to them in the first place. I look at it that way.
