For me it's just that others will see your stutter the way you see it. I sometimes make lighthearted jokes about to make people feel comfortable. Like I had a guy at my school who stuttered but was super popular and social. No one truly cares about your stutter just the way you handle it. And if people nake fun of you for it they're just assholes and it's best to stay away from them.
