It's great that you found this group. Many people who stutter tend to think they are the only ones or just among a tiny fraction of the world but that's not the case. 1% of the world's population stutters and it is a very big world. I'm sure you will learn a lot in this sub because I sure have. You will even find unbelievable tips and tricks in the comments at times and most of all, you will find out that stuttering is a spectrum and the tips and tricks people give out do work for them but wouldn't for others and that's just how complicated stuttering is. One of the best tips in this sub: People find synonyms to assist them in their stuttering but this leads to a struggle in saying their names. Many find saying their name to be their bane. One way to aid the situation is using the concept of synonyms in a different way. If you feel you're going to stutter when you say your name, spell it out first and then you can say it. If you're in a situation where you're asked to spell out your name and you find yourself stuttering, say your name and then spell it.
