Just tell the judge you stutter man. I’m a fed and I have to speak to criminals, judges, general public, attorneys all the time. It’s always nerve wracking but let them know first. Testifying is a pain in the ass for me. I look like I don’t know what I’m talking about but I get the point out at least. I did have to go to civil court because I had to sue a roommate for rent money once back in college. Both represented ourselves. Judge was very understanding once I told her that I stutter. Just be respectful and address everyone with sir/ma’am and judge with “your honor”.
