Thanks a lot for sharing your experience with us. I have always believed stuttering to be psychological, atleast for some of us. 3 years back, I stated an opinion here (without concur facts), that stuttering is indeed psychological. I have always felt like it. But the people here were sure, that's not the case. Also, you might be surprised, but I'm same as you. In the last para you described yourself, I'm like that. At the moment, I'm at home & my family judge me a lot (& would make fun of me, which makes me go full on rage mode), so I can't do the reading aloud thing & affirmation. But as soon as I move out, I will definitely try to do it.
