I recently left my barista job at Starbucks, but my coworkers were overwhelmingly accepting and my one shift manager literally had a bachelors in speech pathology and had a really heartfelt one-on-one conversation with me about my stutter when we first met. I guess I struck out lucky there!  Customer interactions were a whole other beast, but at the end of the day, I survived, even if I embarrassed myself a lot. Most of the time customers are confused but ultimately understanding. The worst thing that happened was two women laughing at my stutter in the drive through. However, my shift manager heard over the headsets and was prepared to beat the shit out of them for me lol.
