Biden claimed that he stutter was ”severe” when he was younger, but I get what you're saying. I have been through intense speech therapy programs before and I still stutter. Other classmates from a speech therapy program that I went to still stutter tremendously. Steve Harvey also points out in his video that he thinks that the speech therapists can't relate to the stutterer when they are trying to teach them. I'm not trying to knock speech therapy but comments like these do make me feel skeptical about my view towards this method. I think speech therapy has helped me but only very mildly, and it really did not impact my fluency at all. My condition is mild, I still accomplish my goals but it does limit me every day.
