After 2 years, just got officially denied accommodations by my college, I'm done You can skip all the details if you want, I really just need some words of support right now. I'm really emotional right now so this might be a mess - but I've been fighting with my college's disability accommodations office for the past 2 years and am now on my 3rd year here. From being told I'd recieve the course substitution form I asked for, to being told they didn't believe me because they "didn't notice any disability" in our brief meetings, to trying several different avenues, to submitting a personal letter explaining exactly why I need what I need, today I finally got the email that they're denying me and wishing me luck. Can't stop crying. I know it'll be fine and I'll be able to struggle through the courses and reach the other end, but it's just the fact that this is an added difficulty that no one else is having to deal with, and that that's what the disability office is supposed to be preventing. Adding to that I now have only 3 semesters left to figure it all out because they wasted 5 semesters that I could've spent working it into my schedule. I have a paper due in two hours and I don't have time to be crying right now.
