People in this channel always act like because they are someone who stutters, they are the end all be all authority on what stuttering is, why it occurs and everything in between. We know our own experiences and that's not to say that someone else's experience isn't just as real as our own. Stuttering in general is not a common thing. Someone developing a stutter in adulthood is even less common but not unheard of. And even if OP was the first ever person in history to make such a claim, it is wrong and cruel to immediately dismiss it. Y'all need to realize that just because you are afflicted with something, doesn't mean you automatically know everything about it. I'm glad you told your mom that you stutter. I hope you continue to make positive strides in your life.
