Possibly, but I'm wondering if the Broca's area experiences other abnormalities when someone stutters. For example, the Broca's area is particularly active when it comes to imitating behavior, and hand eye coordination. If someone was in the middle of stuttering, would they be able to imitate movements effectively? Could they catch a ball in the middle of stuttering as effectively too? I would guess not, but I could be wrong. As a stutterer myself, I've found paying attention to my surroundings and performing basic tasks to be suddenly become extremely difficult while in the middle of stuttering. It's like I instantly lose the ability to focus. That has to be more than just a coincidence. I suppose I could be wrong, though.
