I’m someone who has worked in an IT operations role (help desk) for roughly 4 years but I do plan on transitioning into a development role in the future. With that being said I stuttered and had to answer phones with the addition of helping people in person. Now my team knew that I stutter and were cool about which made me feel better about doing daily stand ups. Now for the dev roles I can only think of talking by doing daily/weekly standups, those random/emergency zoom meetings, or if you’re a team lead having to present/pitch new ideas with a project manager to a higher up in a company. I would say most if not all tech roles have some sort of talking piece but I would imagine its less in general for a dev position. Managers should require more talking, I could be wrong though. But OP do not let stuttering consume you because if you think negative, you will believe negative. Good luck
