Stutter linked to genetic family background?

Stutter linked to genetic family background? Recently I’ve been doing reading on the neurological and genetic causes of stuttering, and stumbled across something regarding the lack of genetic diversity possibly contributing to a stutter gene. I thought about my family, and realized that we do in fact have very little genetic variation, as my mom’s side has been marrying their distant cousins for the past 800 years... How many of you also had similar thoughts?
