My story is similar to yours, I used to think I started stuttering when I was around 10 yo even though it started way earlier. Maybe it's because the when i became more self conscious. Tbh it gets worse when you're close to graduating from Uni or when you start looking for a job. But it makes me happy to read that you got better and made more friends.
