Does anyone struggle on words beginning with certain letters? Heya all! I'm currently in my late twenties & I've had a stutter as long as I can remember, certainly since around the age 9-10. For reference, my stutter is mainly severe blocks in my speech rather than repetition of letters etc. For me, the severity of my stutter does come & go with some days you'd never know I have a stutter outside of odd pauses, to other days when stringing together a coherent sentence is impossible. Speaking on the phone is another problem *entirely*. But something that's always been on my mind, is that I've always struggled with words beginning with certain letters. For me, the banes of my speech are words beginning with B, D & M, for some reason. If any of those letters are *within* a word I can say them without issue, but god forbid if a word starts with any of these three, as I just cannot get the word to come out (at least getting the word to sound intelligible!). Just something I've had on my mind, as when looking for a new place to live I spotted a nice property on a road beginning with B. Well, trying to tell my family where exactly this house was located was more difficult than getting water from a stone. The name of the street just wouldn't come out at all. Does anyone else have specific letters they struggle with?
