Patronizing teachers

Patronizing teachers I’m in high school and despite my moderate to severe stutter, I think of myself as a pretty confident guy. Sometimes during class discussions, where we are graded on what we say, I get a little nervous and my stutter gets worse. It’s no big deal, but what really makes it worse is how some teachers respond. The good teachers always just ignore my stutter or give me a little extra time, but the others are so patronizing! When I am trying to talk they pretend to be so incredibly interested in the things i’m saying to a degree that’s just ridiculous. The other day we were having a discussion about this book and the teacher was just staring at me, wide eyed, and nodding really fast, where as with other kids he would just sit there. I know it doesn’t seem like a big deal but it makes it so much more weird for me, and makes it into a bigger deal than it really is. Do you guys have any advice/ similar experiences?
