Sign language Hello everyone! I'm currently dating someone with a stutter. I was wondering if you guys had any info if learning sign language helped you communicate better? Not meaning if it made your stutter diminish, but can you communicate with someone purely through sign language without your stutter? ( I read that signers can have stuttering!) It came about because in loud environments I have a soft voice and can't yell. He can't read lips. Figured it would be a great way to save our voices. Also I just always had an interest in learning. Also also we can have slightly more secret conversations. >.> Kind of thought that if he also learned he can sign maybe words to me he gets stuck on? He tells me he uses easier words for him to say instead of using better words to articulate what he means. Maybe this could also help him better get his ideas across? Just wondering what the community thought and had experience with I guess. Thanks! :)
