I think it's a good idea to maybe keep for when you are having a bad day but I think obstacle avoidance is not always a good thing. I stutter much more on the phone then in person, but I find the more I avoid saying something the harder it is for me when I have to. I'd suggest maybe having it as a back up but trying not to use it. Just knowing you have it as an option if you are really struggling some days might just take the edge off and make you able to say your name fine more often than not.
