Because of my stutter, I had always told myself in high school that I wanted a factory Job where I don't have to be the face of customer service or interact with people. I just wanted to work in a factory line and isolate myself. God was listening. My first job out of college(graduated in May 2019, IT) was a factory Job, and I absolutely hated it. I don't care how much speaking terrified me, I wanted out. Fortunately, I recently got Tier 1 Help Desk job and though my anxiety has tripled with talking on the phone 8 plus hrs a day 5 days a week? I never want to go back to a factory. Sometimes when you have no choice, you have to make it work. If I did not stutter, I'd still want to be in IT. How I got through college is another story for another day. Having a stutter is really depressing.
