Don’t lose hope. I stutter, my mother in law stuttered, my father stuttered. Our daughter stuttered at the age of 3-4 and TOTALLY became fluent at the age of 6. Many children have stuttering and other disfluencies in early childhood and fully recover. Our daughter is an adult and gives professional presentations. She has no memory of ever not being fluent.
