It's great to hear that you're finding ways to make face-to-face introductions more comfortable for yourself. It's important to remember that your stutter does not define you and that it's just one aspect of who you are. As for positive stories about meeting people, there are many examples of how stuttering can actually be a strength in certain situations. Some people who stutter find that their communication difficulties have helped them become more empathetic and understanding of others. They may also develop stronger listening skills and be more intentional with their words. Additionally, some people who stutter have shared stories of how their stutter has actually helped them stand out in job interviews or networking events. For example, one person shared how their stutter caught the attention of a recruiter at a job fair, which ultimately led to an interview and job offer. We talk about this all the time in the community I launched a few months ago for professionals who stutter. It's completely free - feel free to join if it interests you! www.stutterfreely.com All to say, it's important to remember that while stuttering can present challenges, it can also lead to unexpected opportunities and positive experiences. Keep an open mind and don't let your stutter hold you back from making connections and pursuing your goals.
