Tension in throat and chest causing stutter ?

Tension in throat and chest causing stutter ? I've noticed that with most words I stutter on consistently, there is a tension in my throat and often goes to my chest too which can give me a sore chest. Certain words beginning with an e, r, h or similar sounding words. One of these is emergency, electrical and similar variations. My counter to this is to take a couple seconds and try and form the shape in my mouth and let my throat open to get the air out to make the sound but is there anything I can do to release or stop the tension/tightening? The tension isn't always there but when it is, I need a few seconds to actually form the correct shape and hopefully help my throat loosen, or at least that's what it feels like in the process. There are other sounds I struggle with that I don't know the cause of the stutter but usually taking my time helps with them. I usually struggle with "the", "would", most "L" sounds and sharp words like "clinic" and such but the "emergency" one is vital I get it sorted. Is there anything I can take or try thatll help with this ?
