Thanks heidguy8. I hope it’s useful to your son. The big thing I think is to keep him talking and confident and not reaching a point where he becomes emotionally reactive to his stuttering moments. It can potentially be tough in those preteen and teen years when we get to the point where we start trying hard not to stutter and worrying about what other people will think if and when we do. This can lead to intense avoidance behaviors, but it doesn’t have to be like this if we face those fears by looking people in the eye and being determined to say what we want to say!
