I don’t get made fun of nor do I see listeners getting annoyed. People are more worried about money, family, and happiness. Dealing with stuttering gets easier in college and adulthood. Tell yourself this, “despite me having this stutter, I can be proud that I can still find happiness in other areas of my life.” Even fluent people can be sadder than you. Also, regarding listeners, most are understanding and don’t even acknowledge it. The key is to speak with confidence despite stuttering - people usually subtly respond to lack of confidence rather than the stutter itself. Many times people are bit more attentive. But adults really don’t think negatively in anyway.
