This is a journey unique to each person…There is no silver bullet fix that will work for everyone. I am 45 years old and have always stuttered. The best thing I did was to legitimately stop caring what other people think and just live my life. I want to say something…I make myself say it. I intentionally put myself in stressful situations, starting out small, of course. I used to think it was impossible to do things like order food…It was only impossible because that was the limitation I set for myself. I ordered food, and stuttered while doing it. So what? The key is to not let fear control you. These efforts snowballed into much larger things, I even joined the military. I’m happy to answer questions that anyone may have. I know that most of you are rolling your eyes at me, as if you couldn’t possibly just “stop caring what other think.” You are the one who is responsible for your own behavior…Including your own paralyzing fear. Choose something different…
