The embarrassment about other people stuttering, as I was educated in a recent thread, could be projection. You're embarrassed to stutter, so hearing other people do it embarrasses you too. It seems like you have not come to accept your stutter. Do what makes you feel more at ease with it, if that means talking about it with other people. Or continue on as normal, if that makes you feel better. Ultimately, it's not a problem to work yourself up over. I don't have prescriptive advice, but eventually you need to accept yourself and accept others as they are, and not be concerned about these sort of idiosyncrasies or how they relate to you.
