Preparing for Speech Therapy: How Can I Maximize Results? I’ve been dealing with stuttering for a while, and I’m excited (and a bit nervous) to share that I might be starting speech therapy in January. It feels like a big step forward, and I’m eager to make the most of it. For context, I struggle with a mix of blocks, anticipatory stuttering, and physical tension when speaking. I’ve been practicing voluntary stuttering while reading to gain more control over my speech, but I know there’s a lot more I can learn and improve on with professional guidance. I’d love to hear from those of you who have gone through speech therapy or are currently in it: What helped you get the most out of your sessions? Are there any habits or exercises I can start practicing now to complement therapy? How did you stay motivated during the process, especially on challenging days? Any advice or encouragement would mean a lot. Thank you!
