Recently I was in a phone call and the other person wanted to take my number to call me back after she looked up what I was asking about. After some time going round in circles with her mishearing my number, she just said "okay, I'll call you back" and hung up. She never did. I had to track her down and email her (she wouldn't pick up the phone anymore) to get a response.
