I hear you. I do private corner phone calls ALL the time! As for being a parent - when you become one - it will come naturally. You will want to pass on your values and build character in the children and they will look up to you to lead the way. While it is an endlessly stressful thing - parenthood- at some point you will feel like having a conversation about your speech with them. It will happen when it happens. Lastly I feel like, sometimes just telling a stranger, when initiating a conversation, that I have a stutter/stammer relieves the tension a little bit and makes it a little easier.
