Something else as well, I agree that it’s the accumulation of negative thoughts over many years of stuttering that causes a loss of confidence, which then makes us avoid certain words and experience blocks. It is more specifically these negative thoughts that make us anticipate situations where we will stutter, leading us into a vicious cycle. I have tried many techniques to stop stuttering, and I believe in them and their potential to cure me. However, in reality, I think that in my case, it’s not the technique itself that helps, but the confidence it gives me. I tell myself that now I have a tool to overcome stuttering and speak normally. In conclusion, self-confidence and the elimination of negative thoughts are the essential elements for speaking fluently.
