My dad actually grew out of his stutter to a large degree. He used to not even be able to string two words together as a teenager. Now he just stutters on about one out of every 50 words. Most people wouldn't think he ever had a stutter. My stutter fluctuates, but I'm at a very happy place with it now. I'm not sure it's better than it's been mechanically, but it doesn't bother or hinder me anymore. I'm 28 for reference.
