Hello Yes, it does work amazingly for a time period. Then my brain adjusted to it and it stopped working. I think it could be a positive in showing that I can actually talk normally and everyone understands me. That was an amazing feeling. To finally be me and not the stuttering version of me, but just me. (if that makes sense??) the most experience I have had with it is the SpeechEasy device, https://www.speecheasy.com/northcarolina.php?mm_campaign=5261d1f6e8520bd432d311604ed8043c&mm_replace=TRUE&msclkid=556d91e103f11faffff8cb1f261497b0&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Brand-SpeechEasy%20(NC)&utm_term=speecheasy%20device&utm_content=SpeechEasy Basically, you wear it like a hearing aid and it plays your voice back at a slight delay at a higher pitch. My understanding is that scientist don't understand why it works, they just know that it does work. The Speecheasy device cost around $5000. It is expensive, I got the government to buy me mine through a vocational rehabilitation program.
