I went to a group speech therapy .It was very helpful . We talked about techniques and went in detail about how the sound is produced, then we focused making the different sounds controlled. I remember he was saying to us that our goal by the end of the therapy will not be to stop stuttering but to control it . And it actualy worked. With the techniques and practise i did ,i had more control. The only bad thing is that in real life sometimes I get suprised by others and I am not prepared to speak and in the rush i forget to apply techniques and stutter. Also if I spend large period of time without human contact and talking ,my techniques and skills get rusty and stutter very badly when i first have to speak but I relearn easier .We also wrote many things in papers there which i kept in a folder so if anytime my stutter gets out of control I will sure reread them.
