Could a tumor in the cerebellum cause stutter?

Could a tumor in the cerebellum cause stutter? I suddenly started stuttering 20 years ago and I am still this way. Nothing has changed. I can't say particular type of words even when reading alone and no techniques really can help me. Two weeks ago I got diagnosed with a tumor in the cerebellum. It was found accidentally as I took the MRI as the last resort to find out what causes my tinnitus (started 8 years ago). The neurosurgeon called me and told me the tumor is definitely benign and he believes it has been there for a "pretty long time". However it seems not to be related to tinnitus. I read that mostly very young kids develop tumors in the cerebellum and they are almost always benign ones. So there is a reason to believe I have had it for 20 years but it might be impossible to ever know if it is related to stuttering. Fortunately the tumor is removable. Sadly, I believe that if the tumor is related to stuttering, it will get even worse after the operation.
