Tips on getting out of your head when speaking?? I've found that if I'm out of my own head when speaking I'm able to speak so much easier, I still stutter but it's manageable and I can still speak naturally and realively effortlessly without subbing in much words. When I'm in my own head, I speak in a very artificial way, tend to take tons of short shallow breaths and am constantly analyzing my next few words to see if I'll stutter on them, which turn makes me stutter on them. I just don't know how to get out of my own head when in a stuttering state of analyzing all the words I'm going to say, and it just has a ripple effect to where once I'm finished with the conversation I feel like shit and my vocal muscles are extremely exhausted.
