Sorry to hear that Kyle. I totally understand the feeling. When I was in school I would frantically count how many paragraphs there were until I had to read and then I would either practice silently or wait until it was almost my turn and then would go to the bathroom. Reading aloud in school can suck, bad. Luckily, with time and some different practices, it can get easier. I’m 34 and I’m a middle school teacher. I’ve had to work really hard and take control of my speech. It’s not easy. Sometimes I still have a hard time just saying my name. But it does get easier. One of the most important things to remember is that your stutter doesn’t define you. I know during those moments like you mentioned above it’s hard to remember that though. Hope you’re feeling better man.
