I’m really surprised there hasn’t been a surgery for stuttering. Stuttering happens because of a disfunction in the speech part of your brain. If there was some way to make those neurons work the way they’re supposed to, I believe that would be the cure. It be just as miraculous as a cure for cancer. I stutter pretty bad myself and recently it’s gotten worse to where I stutter with almost every word I say. I also work at a fast food restaurant and I HAVE to speak to customers and drive thru is so much worse!! A lot more stressful and very fast paced. If I’m not fast enough, I’d get in trouble. I also have to yell out certain items (something like onion rings I just cannot say without stuttering even when speaking normally) and if I don’t do that I get in trouble. Soooo yeah mix that with my stuttering disability and boom, you have a nervous wreck ready to breakdown any second. I’ve read up on the SpeechEasy and people have said that after a couple months the effectiveness increases a lot. I need something permanent for that amount of money 😵💫
